Thinking Processes
Finding the Root Cause of your Company's Problem
The key strength of the Theory of the Constraints is in this concept: The myriad of problems and undesirable effects that are currently occurring in your company are due a small number (usually just one) of root causes. The best way to expose this root cause is by developing a Thinking Process Current Reality (CRT) tree. The CRT is a logical, common-sense method of tying these undesirable effects together to uncover conflicts that are generating problems, and for drilling down to the root cause. Leverage PMC's many years of experience to create a CRT for your company, and find the root cause problem that must be addressed in order for your company to move towards your goal. Designing your future and developing a transition plan

Conflict resolution is the key to managing effectively in today's dynamic environment. Gaining agreement among your peers, employees, or management can be a key to being part of the solution, not part of the problem. Clouds are a conflict resolution process defined by Eli Goldratt’s It's Not Luck, and they provide a structure for documenting the conflict, the common goal, and the assumptions that both sides are using. Breaking the cloud comes from improved communication, and from allowing both sides to understand the assumptions that are in place. It's these assumptions that generally have given rise to the conflict. Once this is understood, both sides can work together to challenge their own assumptions, and come to a resolution that allows each side of the conflict to do what is necessary to reach their common goal.
