Team Based Continuous Improvement (TBCI) and Group Wage Incentive Programs (GWIP)

In order to significantly increase productivity and reduce costs, it is necessary to enlist all personnel, particularly direct labor, in the effort. Because this quest is a corporate effort, the effort must be supported with avenues for improvement and performance metrics to measure progress. The avenues for direct labor are the work teams and the metrics are used to measure progress and to establish performance goals. Work psychologists believe that "working toward goals" is one of the strongest motivating factors available. To realize the advantages of group synergy and capture important motivational attributes for personnel, a program of Team Based Continuous Improvement can be established.

Work psychologists also point out that "recognition" can also be a motivating factor. We believe that when "recognition" becomes evident in the form of distributed monetary gain to Team Members that met, or exceeded, group goals, the factor becomes powerful. All corporate monetary funds must be justified, and the potential net return from productivity gains will easily justify the increased allocation of funds in Human Resources when directed toward a Team Based Continuous Improvement Program.

PMC provides cost-effective implementation services in Team Based Continuous Improvement and develops proven corporate Group Wage Incentive Programs for manufacturing and service industries to increase the profitability of its clients.
