Program Management is a concept that began in the 1950’s.  Most organizations do not have program managers on staff, however, they do tend to assign special projects to leaders in the organization and give them an ad-hoc title of Project Manager.  This is where the difference between a Program Manager and a Project Manager come into play.  A project manager has a primary assignment within an organization, i.e. Head Chef, Vice President of Operations.  A Program Manager will actually have the primary title of Program Manager.  The Program Manager's overall function is to understand the expectations while controlling cost, delivering a quality program on time while staying within the scope of work.  This webinar will explore the different functions of Program Management.
