Since 2004, the EVS division has become an industry leader in CADD services. Specializing in 3 dimensional CADD modeling. Leading the way in high accuracy modeling from laser scanned data.

  • The EVS division started in 2004 with a contract from General Motors to convert six General Assembly Areas for the GMT 800/900 truck program in North America from laser scan data to 3 dimensional AutoCAD layouts. The EVS division was also contracted to do the installation layouts and tool tracking databases for 3 of the GMT 800/900 General Assembly Areas. The project was completed in a span of two years.

  • There were 3 other plants that General Motors wanted laser scanned and modeled just to update old outdated 2D layouts for future products to the much more accurate and data-rich 3D format.

  • In 2003, Detroit’s Water & Sewerage Department started using Laser Scanning for their fresh water and waste water treatment facilities.

  • PMC recently begun the process of modeling their pumping stations in high detail to supply a visual inventory as well as attaching hyperlink data to the model.

  • In 2005, Toyota’s Commercial Truck Division, HINO brought over lead engineers from Japan to study PMC’s process of using laser scanning and 3D modeling to capture tools that no longer had design drawings available. The process of reverse engineering was found invaluable as they were able to reconstruct these tools based off our models.
