OVERVIEW: Production Modeling Corporation (PMC) is seeking a mid-level Laser Scanning Technician to support reality capture efforts across a wide range of industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. This role is primarily field-based and requires extensive travel. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on scanning experience, a solid understanding of survey control, and the ability to operate independently in active job-site environments. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform terrestrial laser scanning in active industrial and commercial environments
• Establish, verify, and work within survey control using total stations and related equipment
• Execute field scanning plans independently or with minimal supervision
• Coordinate with site personnel to ensure safe and efficient field operations
• Conduct basic field QA/QC to ensure data completeness and accuracy
• Capture supplemental data as required (imagery, notes, measurements, metadata)
• Support drone-based data capture when licensed and authorized
• Travel extensively to project sites, often for multi-day engagements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:-

• Minimum 5+ years of professional laser scanning experience
• Demonstrated experience with survey control and total stations
• Strong understanding of coordinate systems, registration concepts, and field best practices
• Proven ability to work independently in the field
• Willingness and ability to travel full-time (typically 70–90%)
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work on active construction and industrial sites

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:-

• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot License (drone license)
• Experience with industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, or complex MEP environments
• Familiarity with common scanning platforms and software (e.g., Leica, FARO, Trimble, NavVis)
• Strong communication skills for coordination with clients and internal teams

PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:-

• Ability to lift and transport scanning equipment
• Comfort working in industrial environments, including elevated platforms and confined spaces
• Ability to comply with site-specific safety requirements and PPE standards

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • Documentation of product requirements for equipment specification
• Process development for early concept and early prototype production through to start of production +90
  • Technology research and development in design and manufacturing
  • Process invention, development, trials, and testing that shape the design of the product
  • Process release through detailed manufacturing instructions, workstation and line layouts, product trials, and prototype production management
• Factory design, layout, and simulation for:
  • Line balancing
  • Capacity simulation and modeling
  • Part and assembly presentation
  • Specification of hand tools for manual assembly tasks
  • Data systems
  • Yield studies
• Product launch and process validation
  • Draft qualification protocols and manage process qualification activities.
  • Lead and provide process validation/qualification documentation
  • Utilize statistical tools (such as GR&R, SPC and Cp/pCk) to ensure processes/fixtures are performing
• Coordination with other process, equipment, mechanical, electrical and support disciplines including project managers, manufacturing reps, and other stakeholders.

• Working knowledge of GD&T principles favorable
• NX, SolidWorks CAD or ProE experiences a plus
• Simul8, AnyLogic, Flexsim experience is a plus
• Proficiency in the development and deployment of PFMEAs
• Knowledge of Production Parts Approval Process (PPAP)
• Six Sigma Black belt is advantageous
• Knowledge of automated equipment systems and tools - robotic, vision, material handling, Conveyors, PLC, HMI, etc.

  Basic Required • Technical degree / Four Year Apprenticeship required or equivalent experience. One of the following: 3. 8 + years as maintenance technician / electrician technician • Familiarity with high volume automotive manufacturing processes • Knowledge of advanced mechanical / electrical concepts • Knowledge of maintenance and construction standards and codes, and applicable laws and regulations • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others • General knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems to include: basic electricity and electronics, controls and instrumentation, programmable logic control (PLC), robotics, mechanical drives and power transmission systems, fluid power and pneumatics • Working knowledge of general maintenance principles, blueprint reading/schematics and welding • Hands on mechanical and electrical capability, grasping complex systems easily, along with the ability to multitask in a highly flexible environment • Strong oral and written communication skills for effective communication • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills to resolve unusual and difficult problems • Strong interpersonal skills to work well with others; ability to train others   Basic Preferred • Strong knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC 5000 and Siemens HMI • Knowledge to read / edit PLC programs • Practical knowledge of associated process equipment operations, sequencing, error-proofing and diagnostic capabilities • Knowledge of and ability to effectively use computer software as it pertains to maintenance needs • Fanuc robotics programming and maintenance • Welding MIG, TIG, brazing, ARC a plus but not required   BENEFITS:

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: ·         Review and answer request for inspection orders (RFI) responses from PDC’s and processing centers ·         Create Field Wires in responses to RFI’s ·         Contact Suppliers on issues relating to nonconforming material ·         Provide input for Problem Report Resolution (PRR) for supplier issues ·         Apply order writing control on suspect stock ·         Interface with SPO and Product Engineering to resolve part issues Job Description Work involves functioning as the quality support for the manufacturing facility, and as a technical liaison between engineering, manufacturing and suppliers to resolve quality issues.  In addition, the work includes monitoring current production quality metrics, field warranty metrics and providing technical support to ensure products conform to quality standards.  One must apply diversified knowledge of quality engineering principles and practices to produce and/or coordinate the solutions to complex problems. Considerable creativity and initiative are required. Independent judgment is required with some direction from the supervisor. Key Responsibilities include: · Supports manufacturing by resolving manufacturing and supplier issues · Reviews and communicate design and manufacturing changes · Participates in internal and supplier audits · Ensures products conform to internal and external quality requirements · Handle all supplier containment activities and problem solving · Assure supplier understanding of product and submission requirements to the plant · Lead Fast Response reviews related to required quality metrics for the plant · Provide technical support · Function as liaison between engineering, manufacturing and suppliers to resolve quality issues and to provide technical support · Determine cause of supplier quality problems (w/ SQE assistance) and coordinate/implement effective and timely corrective actions · Maintain required documentation and files · Maintain tool calibrations for the plant, and issue purchase requisitions · Handle all supplier/internal scrap and problem reporting to suppliers · Audit plant floor quality Qualifications Key qualifications and experience include: · Bachelor’s degree in engineering or quality discipline preferred or must have extensive technical experience/training in manufacturing, quality, or engineering.  Desirable course work would include probability and/or statistics · 1-5 years’ Experience in manufacturing, quality, or engineering (in a highly regulated industry) · Experience in implementing advanced quality planning processes preferred · Knowledge of quality assurance systems, requirements, procedures, Red-X, etc. · Experience working in medical device industry is a plus · Experience working with and/or auditing domestic and international suppliers is a plus · Excellent written and oral communication and documentation skills · Strong organizational skills and attention to detail · Hands on experience in manufacturing and knowledge to build quality parts · Highly proficient in print reading and interpretation of part measurement · Demonstrated thorough knowledge of probability, statistical quality control and design of experiments · Demonstrated thorough knowledge of manufacturing and assembly plant processes, procedures, facilities and equipment · Demonstrated thorough knowledge of corporate and division quality standards, policies, and procedures · Demonstrated expertise in investigating complex quality problems and applying sound technical judgment to develop possible solutions · Very high level of analytical ability to assess and identify appropriate alternative courses of action for definition and resolution where problems are complex · Ability to prioritize work with only limited direction from supervisor · Strengths should include collaboration, building relationships, and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate others in group situations · Strong computer/technical aptitude   Required Skills/Experience:·
