Production Modeling Corporation (PMC) is a US-based engineering services company specializing in reality capture, laser scanning, BIM, and related services. Our scanning group plays a critical role in delivering high-quality, reliable data that serves as the foundation for design and construction projects worldwide. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Reality Capture Group Manager to lead our field scanning operations and oversee the coordination of post-processing activities. This role is critical in ensuring high-quality deliverables, smooth coordination between teams, and professional development of our staff. The ideal candidate brings both hands-on technical expertise and leadership experience in the field of laser scanning and surveying.Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the scanning field team, including project scheduling, resource allocation, and quality assurance.
- Manage and coordinate the post-processing team to ensure timely and accurate data preparation.
- Train and mentor new hires in field techniques, processing workflows, and company standards.
- Utilize FARO Scene for registration and processing of scan data.
- Apply practical survey experience (field collection and office processing) to ensure accuracy and efficiency of data capture.
- Coordinate point cloud handoff to modeling teams, ensuring smooth transition and completeness of data packages.
- Maintain and enforce safety protocols and company quality standards.
- Work closely with project managers and clients to meet deadlines and exceed expectations.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in laser scanning, surveying, or related reality capture field.
- Proven experience leading teams in a technical or field-based environment.
- Proficiency in FARO Scene and related registration software.
- Strong background in survey methods, both field and processing.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to train and develop junior staff.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
Preferred
- Familiarity with CAD or BIM platforms (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD) for integration of point cloud data.
- Project management experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $90,000 – $110,000, based on experience.
