PMC to Present Factory Design Lifecycle at PLM Connection 2012

Dearborn, MI – March 22, 2012 - Production Modeling Corporation (PMC), a leader in data-driven productivity solutions, will showcase its Factory Design Lifecycle solution with Tecnomatix, at the PLM Connection 2012, booth #36, on May 7-8 in Las Vegas, NV.

Attendees will have the opportunity to see live demonstrations of PMC's Factory Design Lifecycle solution with latest versions of Technomatix tools such as FactoryCAD, FactoryFlow, and Plant Simulator and connect with PMC's Digital Manufacturing experts during the three day event. Onur Ulgen, PhD., President of PMC, and Ravi Lote, Digital Manufacturing Practice Leader, will present a case study on "Factory Design and Optimization using Tecnomatix Tools" on Wednesday, May 9th, at 3:00 pm. Participants will learn how PMC helped a major automotive OEM save $6 million annually as a result of the material flow optimization project.

Onur Ulgen, President of PMC, said "Factory design and plant optimization are increasingly complex and capital-intensive. That's why factory design projects require a great deal of modeling and analysis expertise combined with powerful, integrated tools to ensure acceptable system performance after implementation. Production Modeling Corporation has significant experience in both the productivity improvement methods and the Tecnomatix tools. PMC and Siemens PLM can reduce time, cost, and risk in factory design and plant optimization."

PMC Organizes Simulation Conference in India

The International Simulation Conference of India (ISCI) was the first of its kind premier international forum in India for sharing and spreading recent developments in the field of system simulation. This initiative has been taken by Production Modeling Corporation (PMC) in association with Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IEOR) at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), Mumbai and Operational Research Society of India (ORSI), Mumbai Chapter.

ISCI succeeded in its aim to provide a meeting place for simulation engineers, practitioners, researchers, and vendors working in the area of system simulation across disciplines in industry, service, government, and academia. The conference provided a forum to discuss research ideas, exchange knowledge and practice, and review advancements in related topics. Attendance was over 140; attendees represented four countries (India, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States).

ISCI was held from 2nd - 4th February 2012 at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), India. An encore is planned for 2013.
